Looking for a fun way to get your students outside and active this winter? Our Active Academics Workshops show teachers how to incorporate outdoor physical activity into their classes by demonstrating lessons from the WinterKids Guide to Outdoor Active Learning. Energetic, educational and engaging for teachers and students, our Active Academics Workshops challenege children's minds as well as their bodies!

We are an inner-city school where most of our students have never been exposed to winter activities beyond sledding on local hills. The Active Academics Workshop was very exciting and motivating for the kids. Combining the snowshoeing with an educational lesson on nutrition was creatively done and most worthwhile.
