The WinterKids Passport
offers all Maine 5th, 6th, and
7th graders an entire season of healthy, outdoor winter recreation including
cross-country and downhill skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, and ice
skating, along with
free or discounted lessons and rentals. The Passport also offers parents
and siblings of all Passport holders free or discounted tickets, lessons,
and rentals, ensuring that
families develop healthy lifestyles together. WinterKids
also participates in the National Passport
which provides discounts to resorts in participating states.
Applications are distributed through schools and our corporate sponsors
starting in the fall. For more information, email WinterKids
Features:
Free and discounted cross-country and downhill skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding,
ice skating, tubing, and dogsledding for all Maine 5th, 6th, and 7th graders
- 16 participating downhill ski areas
- 21 participating cross-country ski centers
- 12 participating ice arenas
- 3 participating tubing and sledding parks
- 1 participating dog sledding center
- 159 days for 5th graders (3 free days at each area)
- 106 days for 6th graders (2 free days at each area)
- 53 days for 7th graders (1 free day at each area)
- Free or discounted lessons and rentals for 5th, 6th, and 7th graders
- Free or discounted tickets, lessons, and rentals for parents and siblings
- Good every day of the season - no blackout dates
- Includes opportunity for disabled students
